The digital editions are already released, and the physical editions release on October 6, 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X. The table below compares what each current option costs in the US and what it includes, using the official announcements for physical content and pricing and current storefront listings for digital availability.

Digital Standard Edition

Released and currently sold at $39.99 in the US. The documented contents are the Halloween: The Game base game.

The Phantom Michael Myers Skin is not part of a Standard Edition purchase today. It was a qualifying digital preorder bonus, not a permanent Standard entitlement, so older preorder bundle lists that place Phantom next to the base game no longer describe what a new buyer receives.

Buying Standard does not include Richard, Alexis, the Inmate Michael Myers Skin, Advance Access to the Laurie Strode cosmetic, or the Digital Comic. Those items belong to the current Digital Deluxe options described below, and Standard owners who want them can purchase the Digital Deluxe Upgrade.

Digital Deluxe Edition

Released and currently sold at $59.99 in the US. Current documented contents:

Two past preorder benefits are often mixed into older Deluxe lists and should be kept separate from this current list. Digital Deluxe Upgrade

Currently sold at $19.99 in the US. The current confirmed storefront contents are:

A Standard Edition owner can currently purchase the Digital Deluxe Upgrade separately, which is the documented way to add the Digital Deluxe extras to a Standard copy. The upgrade is a paid product, and nothing in the reviewed material says the same content can be unlocked for free. Its listed contents are the Deluxe extras rather than the base game itself.

Physical Standard Edition

Releases October 6, 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X at $39.99 in the US. Officially listed contents:

Advance Access describes early access to a cosmetic rather than permanent exclusivity. The physical edition also does not add Richard or Alexis, which remain Digital Deluxe and Digital Deluxe Upgrade contents.

Limited Collector's Edition

The official announcement describes limited quantities available. It does not publish a production count, so this guide does not quote one. The listed Collector's contents are the disc, the Advance Access cosmetics, the poster, the Shape Jump Variant Action Figure, the Exclusive Lenticular Art, and the stated extra surprises.

What Happened to the Pre-order Bonuses?

Early Access is over. Preorder and Digital Deluxe Early Access was a launch-period benefit, and the digital launch has already happened. Current purchase decisions should be based on the current edition and storefront contents. See the release date guide for the documented launch timing.

Phantom was a preorder exclusive. The Phantom Michael Myers Skin is officially described as a Digital Pre-order Exclusive that was offered with qualifying Digital Standard and Digital Deluxe preorders. The official FAQ stated that it would not be available for purchase after launch.

That means Phantom is not a current entitlement for Digital Standard, Digital Deluxe, the Digital Deluxe Upgrade, or either physical edition, and the Digital Deluxe Upgrade does not include it. A buyer today should treat Phantom as a past bonus rather than something to expect from any current product listing.

Are Physical Edition Cosmetics Exclusive?

Not permanently. The official Physical Editions FAQ says the Advance Access cosmetics are immediately unlocked for physical-edition buyers, but can also be obtained by completing in-game challenges.

Advance Access therefore means early access to a cosmetic, not ownership that other players can never obtain. The Clown Skin, the Samhain Skin, and the Civilian cosmetics carrying the Advance Access label should not be described as permanently exclusive to physical editions, and no verified source states that any of them will never be offered another way.

Does Collector's Edition Include Digital Deluxe?

The official physical-edition announcement lists the Collector's Edition contents separately and does not state that it includes the Digital Deluxe bundle.

Richard, Alexis, the Exclusive Inmate Michael Myers Skin, and the Digital Comic are not listed as Collector's Edition contents. Unless a future official listing adds them, treat those items as Digital Deluxe or Digital Deluxe Upgrade content only, and treat the Collector's Edition as the disc release plus the physical and Advance Access items listed above.

Which Edition Includes Richard and Alexis?

Richard and Alexis are included with:

• Digital Deluxe Edition
• Digital Deluxe Upgrade

They are not part of Digital Standard, they cannot be unlocked for free, and they are not listed as Physical Standard or Limited Collector's Edition contents. They are also not preorder-only characters: a current Digital Deluxe purchase or a standard-owner upgrade is the documented way to get them. Their roster details are covered in the Civilians guide.
